TWIST seeks to use the bending and twisting capacity of plywood, exploiting its anisotropic
properties to achieve a material system capable of producing articulated surfaces and interesting
spatial conditions. Digital computational techniques used to generate various forms were calibrated
through physical experiments on plywood strips to determine the possible twisting angles based on
degree of short edge rotation and rib radii, informing the final design.
