The wine industry in Chile is thriving thanks to the neoliberal context. But this success only benefits a small part of the population, when in parallel, the workers live and work in dismal conditions.
The 120*120m block in Santiago puts forward an alternative solution to the wine industry : a small scale cooperative in the city center, combining worker housing, public space and a small scale winery.
The programs are weaved above and across the block via a system of stripes that aim to create visual connections between the different programmatic stratas.
