“Insomnia, you in a single night grant more knowledge than days spent in repose, and, to redden eyelids, reveal yourself a more important event than the nameless disease or the disasters of time.” - Emil Cioran

It's too bright in here.
Remnants of an abandoned tube station.

Insomnia is like nausea caused by the reclining of a barber’s chair, which is neither sitting up nor lying down but something in between. The two worlds meet, when one doesn’t take their meeting. Nausea is produced.
Entering a conflict with the whole world, sleeping humanity. Others live unconsciously, no longer feeling like one person amongst others.
The last refuge of the insomniac is a sense of superiority to the sleeping world. They know something that the sleeping world doesn’t.
