Architects routinely use units of measure without challenging their origin or significance. In order to understand the relationship between the body, geometry and architecture, we looked at feet and inches and measured bodies, we then drew 2D metric patterns at scale 1:1 from the measurements, which we later modified. The aim of the course is to make drawings for making, complete with layers of bespoke annotations, and understand the level of information a drawing can convey; in other words, to make measured instruction drawings.
