Peripheral Museum of Contemporary Art
The Rhein-Main area with it´s central power-house Frankfurt is one of the 11 European metropolitan stretches populated by over 5,5 million inhabitants. Being located in the centre of Europe, Rhein Main is a polycentric agglomeration with the most important cities being Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Offenbach and Hanau, presenting a clear political division.
The aim being to to rethink cultural productions and social infrastructures through cross territorial supply chains. Strategies should operate on territorial level, proposing systems of architectural interventions closely negotiating with the metropolitan institutions to establish a local and cross territorial knowledge production.
