The Billboard Occupation Council (BOC) is a leftist collective founded by Mexican students of architecture, visual culture, and engineering with the aim of agitating political reform in Mexico. The BOC's approach is twofold: 1) producing and distributing vernacular media, both online and in print, and 2) occupying billboards along Mexico's highway system, with the aim of both detourning their display space on the outside and constructing print workshops, conference spaces, and sleeping quarters on the inside.
