Militant Practice: an Intervention in Architectural Historiography

Supervisors: Marina Latouri and Nina Power

The grounds for politicizing architectural practices can only be seen from the perspective of a radically modernist subjectivity. Crucial for the production of that subject’s discourse is what I will call ‘militant historiography,’ or ‘militant periodization.’ This thesis, utilizing concepts from the work of Alain Badiou, takes the form of an intervention into the historiographic theory of modernism.
